We want to set you up for success!

Be On Time

Make use of the calendar and email reminders. We want to make the most of your time, and will not be running over.

Keep your bird contained

We may not work with your bird right away. Make sure they are happy in their cage, on a play gym, or even in another room. We will get them when we are ready!

Have Zoom Ready

Please have Zoom downloaded and installed before the session starts. We can help you navigate further during the session.

Fill Out The Questionnaire

Make sure your questionnaire is completed the day before your meeting, so you coach can review it and make a plan!

Cancellation Policy

Please reschedule your appointment as soon as you are able.

We require 48 hours notice to cancel or reschedule any appointment.

Failure to provide this notice will result in 100% forfit of the fee.

Why train your bird?

By teaching skills and fostering two-way communication, you and your bird will be able to problem solve any of the challenges you might face in your lives together. We teach you and your pet bird to co-exist peacefully.

We provide training much like a dog training school, from basic to advanced. Our classes help provide you with instruction to work with your own bird and create the bond you have always wanted.

Our goal is to help you create the life you want with your bird, and to prevent future problem behaviours from even starting!

How will you train my bird?

01. When they are ready

We never force a bird beyond their comfort zone

06. Enjoy your Parrot

The special thing about your bird is how much you love them! Enjoy your time together!

05. Explore new skills

We teach new skills to help your bird communicate in the ways we prefer

02. Identify rewards

We use what the bird likes to make this an enjoyable experience

03. Set up for success

We set up their environment to give everyone the best chance to be successful

04. Press Pause

Here, we can take as many breaks as needed! The best learning comes after some percolation

We do not use force

We follow the science! Force will not produce the long-term results you are looking for.

The following list are things we will not do:

  • remove food to increase motivation
  • trim wings as a first step to behaviour change
  • long-term confinement
  • Harsh punishment including spray-corrections, rattle-cans, or the like
  • Physical punishment of any kind including taps on the beak or feet
